Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Three Dimensions Law handles personal information collected through this website and in the course of providing legal services in Alberta.

Information we collect

We collect personal information that you choose to provide, and limited technical information generated when you use the website.

  • Information you submit through a contact or consultation form, such as your name, email address, telephone number and the description of your matter
  • Information you provide by email, telephone or in person
  • Standard technical information such as browser type, device type and pages visited, where collected by hosting or analytics services

How we use your information

Personal information is used to respond to your enquiry, to carry out conflict checks, to provide legal services where a retainer is established, to administer accounts, and to comply with professional and legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use enquiry information for unrelated marketing.

Confidentiality and privilege

Information you provide before a retainer is confirmed is treated with care but may not attract solicitor-client privilege. For that reason, please do not send confidential or sensitive details through the website form. Once a lawyer-client relationship is established, communications for the purpose of legal advice are generally privileged and confidential, subject to narrow legal exceptions.

Disclosure to others

We disclose personal information only where necessary to provide the services you have requested, where you have consented, or where disclosure is required or permitted by law or by the rules governing the legal profession in Alberta. Service providers who assist the firm are expected to protect information to a comparable standard.

Retention and security

Client records are retained for the periods required by professional obligations and applicable law, and are then securely destroyed. We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

Cookies and analytics

This website may use cookies or similar technologies to operate the site and to understand aggregate usage. Most browsers allow cookies to be blocked or deleted through their settings; doing so may affect how parts of the site function.

Your choices

You may request access to the personal information the firm holds about you, ask that inaccurate information be corrected, or withdraw consent to a particular use, subject to legal and professional limits. Contact the firm using the details below to make a request.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The version published on this page is the current one.
